Day 4.5/5 - Too Much Epic.

After leaving Santa Fe with fresh oil and a couple hours killed at Starbucks we headed for four corners. For those not familiar this is an area, it is where Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado all meet. From there we headed to Ceder Mesa, Utah in which we spent the night on a Mesa 1100 ft above the ground. This by far was the most impressive part of the trip so far. To get to our dry campsite we had to drive up the Moki Dugway which is a series of switchbacks on gravel road with no guard rails that climbs the 1100 ft mesa. We were in awe of picturesk view that was un harmed by industry or civlization. Once ontop of this Mesa we set up camp on Muley Point which overlooked Monument Valley and the San Juan canyon.

The next morning we woke and headed for Monument Valley. Driving our mini van on the dirt roads was quite a feat but it went on without a struggle. There is no way to express the sheer magnitude of this incredible sight, truely the climax of this epic journey across America.

From there we headed south-west to the Grand Canyon. Once arriving we found a lack of campsites on the park itself and poor weather. We decided to head into a Tusayan to find another campsite and called it a night from there....
